About us
capecodferries.com is an independent information and comparison site for the passenger ferries of Cape Cod. It covers seven routes from five mainland ports: Hyannis, Harwich Port and Falmouth on the Cape, and Boston and Plymouth on the mainland shore. Five operators sail them, from Hy-Line Cruises on the year-round Nantucket fast ferry to Captain John Boats on the summer crossing from Plymouth to Provincetown.
The question this site answers is which port and which ferry fit your trip. Nantucket is reachable from Hyannis and Harwich Port, Martha's Vineyard from Falmouth, Hyannis and Woods Hole, and Provincetown from Boston and Plymouth. Each operator sets its own season, arrival deadline and parking arrangement. We put the departures, crossing times, port details and fares for each route side by side.
What this site covers
capecodferries.com covers the crossing itself: routes, ports, operators, timetables and fares for the passenger ferries between Cape Cod, Boston and the islands. Bookings are made through Direct Ferries or the operator named in your confirmation. The Steamship Authority's car ferries are described so that you can decide between passenger and car ferry, but they are not sold here. Hotels, beaches and sightseeing on Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and in Provincetown are outside the scope of this site.
